Our members participated in CTRL Game Jam, a 3-day weekend event organized by Abu Dhabi Gaming. The challenge brought together teams to create a complete game from scratch, with a grand prize of 30,000 AED for the winning project. The theme of the competition was The Journey of Ibn Battuta. Our game was a reenactment of Ibn Battuta's travels from Egypt to Mecca in Suadi Arabia. Ibn Battuta starts out in the level Africa where he must explore the world, collect coins, avoid getting dehydrated, and find a sheikh which recognizes Ibn Battuta's fondness of travel and tells him to meet his brothers in Arabia and India. Ibn Battuta then travels to these countries where he meets the brothers and collects artifacts and wins the game.
